1. Wake Up with Morning Stretches

Begin your day with a simple stretch routine. Stretching wakes up your muscles and gets the blood flowing.

It will help improve your flexibility, increase blood circulation and reduce muscle tension.

You do not have to go overboard with it.

Just simple basic stretches like gentle neck rolls, touching your toes, and stretching your hands towards the ceiling are enough to shake off the sleep and prepare you for the day ahead.

2. Power Of Deep Breathing

Take a few moments throughout the day to intentionally breathe deeply.

It helps reduce stress and will help to keep you calm.

Deep breathing not only helps you relax but also can help you lower anxiety and lower your blood pressure.

You can practice deep breathing from anywhere, while working at your desk, lying in the bed or even while you are out and about.

Making it a regular practice has helped me and will help you too to manage the stress levels and anxiety effectively.

3. Practice Gratitude

Every day think of three things that you are grateful for.

Practising gratitude can help you focus on the positive things in your life.

I love to keep a gratitude journal with me all the time where I jot down things that I am thankful for.

This helps me shift my mindset from negative to positive when things aren’t going my way.

Gratitude encourages you to appreciate small things and create a feeling of peace and happiness.

Reflecting on what you are grateful for can improve one’s mental health.

Just step away from your desk for a few minutes.

Do something that is different from your work or study like a quick stretch, 5-minute walk, a short meditation or simply gaze outside the window and relax.

Doing this will help prevent burnout and keep you focused on the work you are doing.

5. Journal Your Thoughts

Journalling involves writing down your thoughts, feelings, ideas and experiences regularly.

12. Unplug And Recharge

Reducing screen time can help improve your sleep quality and mental health.

Assign certain times of the day to be tech-free, like during meals or the first hour after you wake up, and the last hour before going to bed.

Instead, use this time to engage in other activities like spending time with loved ones, tidying up your space, reading a book or practising meditation.

It is very important to avoid screens at least an hour before you go to bed. The blue light emitted by the screens interferes with sleep.

If possible occasionally take a digital detox where you completely unplug from technology for a set period of time.

I personally like to do this once every two months. Use this time to recharge and focus on other activities like painting, decluttering, going for a long drive etc.
